Thank you for joining us and welcome to the latest product update from PREreview.org!
What’s new at PREreview?
We began internal testing of our AI declaration modal and hope to release it to our production site soon. This step in the PREreview publication process is meant to help reviewers let readers know when AI has been used to generate new ideas for a review. We will not ask reviewers to declare assistive uses of AI, like those used for copy editing, for example.
We continue to add request-a-review support for servers that don’t yet provide a preprint’s abstract as part of its metadata.
We solidified workflows with Lifecycle Journal (LCJ) for shared comms around requests-for-review and reviews of LCJ preprints.
We started discovery calls about improving the user experience (UX) for newcomers to our homepage, too.
What’s next?
We’re planning our next round of community design sprints to help us think about how best to structure dataset reviews. We are very excited to begin work to enable the review of other early research outcomes in addition to preprints on PREreview.org! Check back for more information soon.
