Thank you so much for catching up with the latest update from PREreview.org!

What’s new at PREreview?

Right now we’re working on ways to use OpenAlex to help tag review requests on PREreview.org so that our reviewers can tell at-a-glance if a preprint is relevant to their research interests or not. After early experiments using OpenAlex’s “Fields” as labels, we’ve dialed down to “Subfields” in hopes that this is the right level of detail for community members scanning requests. Let us know what you think!

What’s next?

Next up, we’ll add language filtering to requests-for-review appearing on PREreview.org. We’ll begin with Portuguese and Spanish, which will also be the languages we begin more localization and translation work for later in 2024.

After we’ve implemented these filters, we’ll also rebuild Search for users who’d like to find published PREreviews on the site.
