Welcome to a new year of weeknotes from the Product team at PREreview.org! Thanks for taking the time to catch up with us.
What’s new at PREreview?
This week, we’ve been working on a new approach to matchmaking that draws keywords from preprints you’ve already read to help us recommend new preprints to read. We’re making those new recommendations from preprints that other community members have requested for review. If you’d like to help us improve this new approach to matchmaking, let us know at help@prereview.org and we’ll invite you to a brief user research chat to learn more about what you’re already reading and reviewing.
We’ve also recently improved the way we count and display PREreviews published in languages other than English on our public stats dashboard. Additionally, we’ve made it possible for new dataset PREreviews to show up on our website and community Slack whenever a new one is published.
What’s next?
Once we’ve launched our matchmaking feature, we’ll begin work on several new initiatives for 2026, including finding a new CMS for our blog, localizing and translating PREreview.org into Arabic and French, and developing new features for sharing recognition and gratitude on PREreview.org.
