Hello and welcome to this week’s update from PREreview.org!
What’s new at PREreview?
We had a busy week on the Product team here at PREreview.
We demoed CrowdIn for our language inclusion and justice partners ahead of the next phase of our localization and translation work. More details about how you can get involved with this work as a community member are coming soon!
We also updated our Competing Interest declaration in the PREreview publication workflow to be clearer and more helpful for users. Next, we’ll work on an AI declaration model that will allow users to let readers know when they have used AI to come up with new ideas. We will not ask anyone to declare the use of assistive AI, like Grammarly, however, to do our best to avoid introducing language bias into the PREreview publication process. This is a great time to remind everyone that we support many languages on PREreview and you should feel warmly welcome to publish your reviews with us in whatever language suits your needs best. If you find a language you would like to use that we do not yet support, let us know at help@prereview.org and we’ll explore what we can do!
Several new clubs came online this week, too. If you’d like to organize collaborative reviews, let us know, and we’ll help you get your club page live on PREreview.
What’s next?
As we get closer to the next part of our localization and translation project, we’ll work on making it easier to distinguish between the roles people play in collaborative reviews like those published through PREreview Clubs or our Live Review service.
