Thanks for checking out this week’s update from the Product team at PREreview.org!
What’s new at PREreview?
This week we revised planning materials for 2025 including our goals for the year and likely roadmap for key pieces of work.
We also scoped the next steps of our localization and translation work with the language justice team that is going to help us mindfully move that process forward.
On the technical side, we worked through some early bugs in our newly launched commenting feature for author responses and reader feedback on reviews. We also implemented a requirement for verifying your email address before commenting so that we can better ensure a positive commenting experience for all users.
What’s next?
We’re continuing to push through pick-up work ahead of the end of the year. A lot of this work will focus on continuing to improve matchmaking between reviewers and preprints that are relevant to them, as well as on sharing notifications of reviews published in response to requests with other websites and the people who requested those reviews.
We’re also setting up for a great 2025 by planning some collaborations and features that will allow for the review of early research outputs other than just preprints and work with new audiences of expert reviewers.
