This week the PREreview Team is very excited to welcome Grace Park as the new Communications and Engagement Officer! In this new role, Grace will play a crucial role in clearly and effectively communicating our work and boosting engagement among various audiences, including researchers, students, publishers, funders, and the wider community.
Grace joins PREreview after 5 years of working at various non-profits and grassroots organizations, including KAN-WIN Chicago and the Collaborative for Community Wellness. While Grace has worn many different hats, from providing direct services to program facilitation to graphic design, they have recently been especially passionate about independent scholars and researchers doing community-based and -centered work, cultivating spaces of collaborative knowledge-creation and equitable access to information.
Grace will be working with the PREreview team to develop and implement a communications strategy aimed at fostering meaningful engagement with our diverse and globally distributed community, across a variety of channels and methods. They will also collaborate with the rest of the PREreview team to coordinate and co-facilitate events, both online and in-person, and work closely with the Product team to ensure new developments are informed by community input and communicated effectively.
