What’s new at PREreview?
This week we’ve reached another multilingual milestone by adding African French to the site. This is the third language added to our website as part of our work to become increasingly multilingual over time. African French joins Brazilian Portuguese, Latin American Spanish, and US English on PREreview.org. We are grateful to all the community members who collaborated with us in the translation and localization of our platform and contents.
We also sent out invitations to PREreview Champions and Club leads to give us feedback on our second matchmaking experiment. This new approach uses an algorithm we developed in partnership with a data scientist from eLife to test how relevant our recommendations are. We’ll share a broader invitation for all community members to try it out after we’ve adjusted things a bit further based on Champions and Clubs leads’ input.
What’s next?
Within the next few weeks, we plan to add Modern Standard Arabic to PREreview.org as another multilingual option for community members.
During that time we’ll continue gathering feedback on our new matchmaking experiment, onboarding new Clubs ahead of our upcoming Review-a-thon, and planning for our upcoming PREreview team retreat in October.
